The Project Management & Development Branch (PMDB) of the Real Estate Services Division (RESD) is looking for an individual with experience in HVAC/Plumbing mechanical engineering, leadership, and project management. The ideal candidate has five (5) to ten (10) years professional mechanical engineering experience, is a great communicator and proactive team player.

Telework can be offered after initial training. On-site meetings will be required on a regular basis. In-person interviews will occur.
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer for RESD, you will be responsible for the following:
- Supervise the preparing of schematic, preliminary, and working drawing phase plans for all types of mechanical and plumbing systems using Computer-Aided Drafting/Design (CADD) and Revit software.
- Plan and supervise the work of others
- Produce project documents suitable for estimating, bidding, and construction
- Ensure compliance with codes and industry standards
- Perform engineering computations to determine proper sizes and quantities of mechanical and plumbing systems
- Design mechanical and plumbing systems by analyze client requirements in order to develop plans of workable solutions
- Direct and conduct detailed inspections of mechanical installations by making on-site field visits statewide to define scope, clarify existing conditions, ensure compliance with codes, and verify client requirements are being met
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer license
- HVAC and plumbing systems experience
- Proficiency in utilizing AutoCAD to prepare construction documents
