About the Role:
An immediate opening exists for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support a high-profile project within the semiconductor industry in Phoenix, AZ. This role involves leading the design of mechanical systems for a cutting-edge facility, including HVAC, piping, plumbing, boilers, chillers, exhaust systems, and fire protection. The position requires onsite presence and will be a critical member of a multidisciplinary engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and produce technical plans, specifications, drawings, and models for mechanical systems, ensuring they meet client specifications
- Design industrial piping, HVAC systems, exhaust systems, motor control, and more
- Create detailed engineering drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, P&IDs, and PIPE-FLO
- Mentor associate engineers and designers, ensuring the growth of the team and success of projects
- Perform field verifications, site walks, and troubleshoot design issues
- Interface with clients to define project scope and design basis
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain [within ~ 6 months ideally]
- At least 5 years of experience with industrial projects, including HVAC, chillers, boilers, and other mechanical building systems
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (or similar CAD software)
- Experience performing field verifications and troubleshooting design problems in the field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Revit, Navisworks, or PIPE-FLO
- Semiconductor or high-tech manufacturing project experience
