Senior Mechanical Engineer - HVAC at Engineering Resource Group

Description

• Permanent position for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to ensure the quality and compliance of MEP designs by collaborating with the architecture and design teams, review and analyze design documents, perform quality control checks, and contribute to the overall success of projects.
• Review and Assess Designs.
• Verify the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of the designs.
• Ensure effective coordination and integration between the designs and the architectural construction documents.
• Prepare detailed reports highlighting deficiencies, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities in the reviewed designs.
• Collaborate with architects, project managers, and other team members to provide expert advice and project guidance, and maintain effective communication channels.
• Develop new and improve existing internal quality assurance processes and standards.
• Ultimately build and lead the company’s engineering department with business development initiatives, fostering relationships with clients and consultants, and exploring expansion opportunities.
• Hybrid position: 3 days in office (after first 3 months).

Requirements

• BS Mechanical Engineer
• PE License required.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer for MEP systems.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems designs, codes, and standards, ideally with public schools experience.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve coordination issues.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities and a strategic mindset to contribute to company and team growth.
• Proficiency in MEP design software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools.
• Detail oriented, with strong decision making skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
