Description:
Immediate need for a Mechanical Engineer – Project Manager, representing the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, and architects. Responsible for significant mechanical systems design, designing large projects, specifically with healthcare, aviation, or transportation projects with three years of project management experience. Proven experience with engineering, design, and layout (utilizing AutoCAD and BIM), calculations, coordination with other design and trades and collaboration with more senior staff.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for managing the function of projects
- Project contract management
- Tight project schedule control
- Work closely with trade specific project engineers to ensure all items are delivered
- Overseeing the production of drawings consistent with client requirements and standards
- Preparation of due diligence reports and feasibility reports
- Establish design standards, specifications, and criteria for projects
- Preparation of proposals, and administering contracts and agreements
- Establish project budgets and schedules
- Participate in QA process of completed work
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum of seven years of experience working in a consulting firm (MEP, A/E, AEC)
- LEED AP accreditation highly desired, not required
- PE license desired, not required
- Possess a strong ability to coordinate between MEP and other trades
- REVIT and the latest version of AutoCAD MEP
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required
LEED accreditation desired. EIT or PE desired. Or should be on the road to obtaining a license
