Senior Mechanical Engineer - Selectek, Inc.

Selectek is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client’s team in Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate will be client focused and expected to cultivate new as well as maintain client relationships, generate fee proposals, and establish project scope of work.

Required:
 

• 12+ years of mechanical engineering experience
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Revit proficiency
• Work independently and with minimal direction from management or senior design team members, design and draft building engineering systems as required to provide information for owners, architects, and contractors to budget, bid, and construct code compliant projects for a wide range of building types including new construction and renovations. Building engineering systems include, but are not limited to HVAC, electrical, fire alarm, plumbing, and fire protection
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to develop designs, plans, and specifications for systems such as heating, air conditioning, plumbing, fueling, and ventilation systems
• A thorough working knowledge of current building codes, engineering design practices, and design and drafting tools
• Able to provide leadership for junior and senior designers
• Promote growth and development in the best interest of the company
• Effectively communicate with clients and co-workers
• Familiar with residential, corporate, commercial, institutional, governmental, industrial, health care, religious, athletic, educational, and entertainment fields – planning and design

Preferred:
 

• P.E. or working towards P.E. 
• LEED Certification preferred, US DOL Salaried learned professional
• Software Experience with AutoCAD Microsoft Office including Word & Excel Exhibit strong interpersonal communication skills coupled with a friendly demeanor
• Display a keen enthusiasm for generating and pursuing business opportunities
• Strong self-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Sponsorship: No (needs to be US citizen) 
Pay range: $100,000 - $150,000 (open to higher salaries if more than 12 years of experience)
Pay method when direct: Salaried (very limited if any OT)  
Location of job: Charlotte, NC
Hours and shift: Monday – Friday (40 hours, 8am -5pm)
Work from home:  depending on experience after initial in-office working period
Working remote: depending on experience after initial in-office working period
Overtime expected: No

Travel: Some travel to job sites – day travel - on average once a week and usually within 2 hours.
Work attire: Business Casual
