About the Job
Kickr Design is looking for an exceptionally talented, driven and detail oriented Mechanical engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate has a passion for new product development, is capable of juggling multiple projects at one time while maintaining excellent organization and can demonstrate an ability to quickly and creatively solve problems. The position also requires an individual that owns his/her projects, works well in teams and interacts with clients. You will be working closely with Designers, Engineers, Customers and Vendors to make sure that all projects are on-schedule and run as smoothly as possible.
The ideal candidate will be excited to contribute to a positive motivating work environment while helping to support the team and continue to grow our very strong design and engineering team.
This role will focus on contributing to our new product development projects, consumer products, medical projects, as well as our industrial equipment design/automation projects. In depth knowledge of the new product development process is key to this role along with the ability to advise our customers on efficient and effective approaches. Medical experience is a plus.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years Mechanical Engineering experience
High EQ and excellent situational awareness
Mechanical Design and Analysis in hardware new product development industries
Expert level proficiency in SolidWorks
Conceptualization & CAD of products, assemblies, and components ranging from simple to complex
Finite Element Analysis (FEA) for structural, thermal, and fluid dynamics (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL).
Tolerance analysis and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
DFM
FMEA, UFMEA, PFMEA
Excellent communication skills
Part prototyping via CNC, laser cutting, 3D printing and other methods
Strong creative problem solving and innovative solutions tailored to client needs
Ability to deeply understand client/user needs and propose efficient and effective solutions to help solve them
Document and communicate progress with team and customers, maintain project schedules and timelines
Develop positive working relationships with vendors and clients
Prioritizing and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Medical device development experience and knowledge of FDA regulatory requirements and ISO 13485 is a plus
Surface modeling experience is a plus
Assisting the management team in optimizing, developing and improving the mechanical engineering process at Kickr Design.

Salaries for this position are typically in the 100k-145k range with possibilities of going higher for exceptional applicants
