About Utility Profit
Utility Profit streamlines utility setups for property managers and tenants, transforming the rental experience. Our platform is the first national database of utilities and telecom services. It allows tenants to discover all service options specific to their home while enabling property managers to create new revenue streams and streamline operations. With over two hundred thousand homes already on board, Utility Profit is a proven leader in this space, dramatically streamlining moving. The company is based in Austin, Texas. The company is led by repeat founders Ben and Zac, who started, scaled, and sold Favor. Utility Profit has raised $15M from tier-one investors, the same ones behind SpaceX, PayPal, and more.
About the Role
Utility Profit is at an exciting growth stage, with over 500 companies onboarded last year and a strong product-market fit. We’ve already proven several marketing channels, and this role will focus on scaling these successes while testing and optimizing new ones. As the Senior Marketing Manager, your primary responsibility will be to generate marketing-qualified leads (MQLs) that fuel the sales pipeline. As owners of property management real estate businesses, you’ll do B2B marketing in the SMB market. Your work will directly and meaningfully impact the company’s growth trajectory.
This is a hands-on role in a small, fast-paced team environment. You’ll work closely with the co-founder, Director of Sales, and Junior Marketing Manager while collaborating with a dedicated sales team of two sales executives and several business development representatives (BDRs). While you’ll work across a small team, expect to be doing hands-on work and not necessarily building a significant team from day one.
Key Responsibilities
Lead Generation and Campaign Optimization: Develop, test, and refine marketing strategies to source high-quality B2B leads, focusing on scaling demand generation.
Content Creation: Craft compelling case studies, customer interviews, and thought leadership pieces that enhance the brand’s reputation and support the sales team.
Sales Partnership: Collaborate closely with sales to ensure alignment on MQL criteria and the delivery of quality leads.
Event Planning: Organize and attend key industry conferences to drive visibility and generate leads.
Funnel Optimization: Monitor and optimize conversion rates across the customer acquisition funnel to improve efficiency and reduce customer acquisition costs. CAC and LTV understanding is a must.
Our Ideal Candidate
Technical Savvy: Comfortable collaborating with engineering to build and optimize tracking infrastructure.
Creative Communicator: Skilled in crafting visually appealing content and persuasive copywriting.
Collaborative Spirit: Enjoys working cross-functionally to understand and meet customer needs deeply.
Adaptable and Agile: Thrives in an iterative startup with shifting priorities, balancing speed and quality.
Curious and Experimental: Brings a problem-solving mindset and a willingness to test and validate ideas.
