Job DescriptionJob Description:
The Senior Manufacturing Technician Lead plays a critical role in overseeing and optimizing the daily operations of the manufacturing workflow. This position involves both coordinating activities and directly contributing to the production process. The Senior Manufacturing Technician Lead works closely with management to meet departmental goals and objectives, ensuring timely deliveries, and providing strategic guidance to team members. This role requires effective prioritization of tasks, seamless coordination of material and labor flow, and a commitment to maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
Job Summary
As Senior Manufacturing Technician Lead, you will have a direct impact on manufactured products as well as the coordination of production activities. This job position has dual responsibilities with both Manufacturing and Lead responsibilities.
Manufacturing responsibilities include contributing to the construction and test of assemblies, providing supplemental assistance as needed to ensure manufacturing schedules are met.
Lead responsibilities include the coordination and orchestration with other functional teams (Planning, Logistics, Procurement and Quality) to meet quality and delivery expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Coordination: Direct and streamline daily manufacturing activities, ensuring an efficient and organized workflow.
- Individual Contribution: Actively participate in the production process, demonstrating best practices and setting a high standard for team performance.
- Goal Alignment: Collaborate with management to align departmental objectives with overall company goals, ensuring scheduled deliveries are met.
- Team Guidance: Provide clear direction to personnel on work sequencing, task prioritization, and problem-solving to maintain productivity and quality.
- Resource Management: Optimize the use of materials and labor to enhance efficiency and reduce waste throughout the manufacturing process.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in workflow processes and implement effective solutions.
- Performance and Training Monitoring: Track and report on key performance metrics, making adjustments as needed to meet production targets.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with Planning, Procurement, Engineering, Quality, and Logistics to coordinate production, project, rework, and service priorities, taking into account personnel skills, shipment priorities, and backlog.
- Recruitment Support: Assist with the interview process by screening prospective production and test personnel.
- Issue Resolution: Escalate personnel concerns and assist in the resolution of grievances.
- Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the production team.

Requirements/Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience as a lead or equivalent in a production environment, specifically with electronic and mechanical assemblies.
- Previous assembly and electronic bench technician experience including the use of oscilloscopes, function generators and spectrum analyzers.
- Ability to read and understand engineering prints, schematics, drawings, parts lists, component specifications, and other documentation related to product manufacturing.
- Successful completion of IPC-A-610 certification training within 3 months and both IPC-620 & IPC J-STD-001 certification training within 6 months.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other computer peripherals in a professional environment.
- Physical ability to regularly lift up to 35 pounds.
- Strong understanding of written and verbal procedures and instructions in English.
- Ability to multi-task while paying careful attention to detail.
- Prior success working both individually and in a team environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to follow written and verbal communication.
- Ability to read, comprehend and follow detailed work specifications.
- Excellent listening skills.
- Adaptability to frequent changes and improvements.
- Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
- Ability to wear the required protective equipment and ESD smock, heel and wrist straps as needed.
- Basic computer, math and reading comprehension skills.
- You must be 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
- Must be a US Citizen.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO-9000 & 9001 quality standards.
- Active IPC-A-610 & IPC-J-STD-001 certification.

The hourly pay range for this position, which could be performed in Colorado, is $20.50-$35.00.*
*Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
