THE JOB
This is a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer position. As a Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer your roles and responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical expertise and guidance in major manufacturing projects, working with internal/external suppliers to support/improve manufacturing productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Evaluating major systems and the coordination of those systems with the total plant.
- Directing suppliers to analyze their current or proposed product/process designs to determine feasibility of using existing designs or modifying the designs to improve process and/or product.
- Providing guidance and mentoring to manufacturing engineers and operators in order to develop high quality products and processes.
Most importantly, you need to be a passionate Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer who enjoys his work and is considered to be one of the best within your organization. The ideal Senior Manufacturing Project Engineer would be someone with deep experience in many (if not all) of the following:
- Experience in managing large scale capital projects including concept development, project funding and execution of large-scale capital projects.
- Manufacturing experience related to manufacturing of cast materials, machining, and process control documentation.
- Judgment and Decision Making:
- Knowledge of the decision-making process; ability to carefully evaluate the impact of emerging business situations and choose the best path forward communicating actions and activities that maximize organizational performance.
- Project Management: Level Working Knowledge.
- Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.
- Manufacturing Process Design and Development: Level Working Knowledge:
- Knowledge of how to develop or design a manufacturing process; ability to establish and determine which processes and parameters should be opted to improve functionality and costs.
- Capacity Planning & Management - MFG: Level Working Knowledge:
- Knowledge of tools, approaches and practices for determining production demand and ability to manage resources needed to provide satisfactory levels of service.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum Experience: 5+ to 7 years experience manufacturing experience related to manufacturing of cast materials, machining and experience in managing large scale capital projects
