The Role
We're on the lookout for a seasoned Senior Manufacturing Manager with a knack for leading high-paced operations in modular home construction or a comparable industry. In this Senior Manufacturing Manager role, you'll spearhead our manufacturing endeavors, ensuring top-notch quality, efficiency, and innovation in our modular home production processes. Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to optimize modular home construction processes, ramp up productivity, and hit ambitious production targets.
- Production Management: Take the reins on all facets of modular home production, from assembly line operations to quality assurance, ensuring seamless execution and timely delivery.
- Quality Control: Set the bar high with stringent quality control measures to maintain the utmost craftsmanship and compliance with industry standards.
- Team Leadership: Inspire and empower a diverse team of manufacturing professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and relentless improvement.
- Process Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline manufacturing processes, slash waste, and boost efficiency through the adoption of lean manufacturing principles.
- Supplier Relations: Forge strong partnerships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring a steady supply of materials and components crucial to modular home construction.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with engineering, design, logistics, and sales teams to synchronize efforts and tackle challenges head-on throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to gauge manufacturing performance, identify opportunities for enhancement, and inform strategic decision-making.
- Safety Compliance: Uphold rigorous safety standards and protocols to foster a secure working environment for all manufacturing personnel.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing management, with a focus on modular home construction or an equivalent fast-paced industry.
- Deep understanding of modular construction processes, including factory-based assembly, quality control, and logistics.
- Proven leadership prowess with a knack for motivating and nurturing high-performing teams.
- Strategic mindset coupled with a track record of implementing innovative solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency and product quality.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a penchant for driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Stellar communication and interpersonal skills, with a knack for collaborating effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards in the modular construction industry.
Compensation
Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on skills, education, experience, and location is $150,000 - $170,000 annually for Hayward, CA and surrounding areas.
