Manufacturing Engineer II (24 month contract // Lafayette, CO):

Alternative Title: Equipment Design Engineer II

Primary Responsibilities:

• Design development and production fixtures for assembly and test of medical devices.
• Support product design engineers with prototype builds.
• Support qualification and manufacturing launch activities.

Target Years of Experience: 3-5 years of experience with Manufacturing and NPI

Description:

The Manufacturing / Equipment Design Engineer II position is part of the Advance Manufacturing Engineering department that is responsible for developing manufacturing lines for new medical products. The Equipment Design Engineer II is expected to have the appropriate experience in CAD software and machine design.

Duties:

• Design assembly and test equipment using CAD software (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
• Define design requirements and conduct design reviews
• Prototype and test designs throughout the development process
• Support product design engineers with prototype builds
• Participate in manufacturing planning and analysis activities
• Partner with outside suppliers to develop production equipment
• Support qualification and manufacturing launch activities

Must Have:

• BS Mechanical Engineering
• 3+ Years machine design experience
• 3+ Years CAD software experience (PTC Creo / SolidWorks)
• Automation design experience
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience in medical industry
• Product design and development experience
• Validation and process development experience
