Job Summary:
The Sr. Manager of Training & Development plays a pivotal role in developing strategies and executing best-in-class education initiatives to support the growth of Beautynova Americas’ brands: milk_shake®, DEPOT®, and Medavita.
This position serves as a key partner to cross-functional teams, including R&D and Marketing, to develop core education materials and implement comprehensive, market-ready education formats and materials. Responsibilities encompass creating written, video, and digital content, formatting curriculum, and designing training programs for both in-person and digital delivery.
A central focus of this role is working with global brand teams on the development of a long-term strategy for concept creation and material delivery. This includes program design, training methodologies, and alignment with Brand CI guidelines across all channels and learning platforms.
This position works closely with the milk_shake®, Depot®, and Medavita global brand teams to develop programs that can be implemented in North America and scaled globally across all regions.

Responsibilities:
Program & Curriculum Development
- Oversee the development of curriculum for all milk_shake®, DEPOT® & Medavita concepts and services for North America, including translation and any regional adaptation for Canada (French) and Latin America (Spanish, Portuguese).
- Supervision of curriculum development teams in line with strategic equity of brands and strategic direction of company.
- Provide technical advisory and input into all relevant product knowledge in conjunction with Marketing (NA & Global) and R&D (Global).
- Supervise all Curriculum development projects in conjunction with Brand Education teams (Global and NA) to insure on-time delivery of lesson plans, support materials and leader’s guides.
- Development of strategy for on-boarding Training for all product & service information.
- Communication with Regional Education Team / Distributor Education Managers on educational initiatives, strategies and direction.
- Develop, in cooperation with field education teams, training plans for product initiatives as part of a holistic go to market plan.
- Ensure development of product related education materials, in alignment with the responsible brand managers (education manuals, educator training aids).
- Coordinate input and information from all relevant members of Marketing, R&D, Sales and Education teams when developing educational material.
- Support the development of service concepts within product initiatives in close cooperation with Brand Management / R&D / Field Education.
- Partner with R&D and Marketing on-going input for product & service initiative development.
- Partner with SVP Education & Field Education team to build out Education strategy to support sales goals by channel.
- Provide standardized training templates and training materials to support product knowledge within the regions.
- Conceptualization and development of a digital learning strategy.
- Continued development of strategy to drive innovation in education delivery – online, mobile, webcast, apps, etc.
- Stay ahead of industry trends & competitions in professional categories through ongoing education, product testing & research.
- Periodically participate in regional / distributor strategy meetings to identify education opportunities with all clients.
- Collaborate on planning, execution & delivery of all train the trainers with regional teams to ensure consistency.
- Creation of consistent programs, messages and content across all channels and touchpoints.
- Communicate needs for appropriate formats for in-salon education, seminars, and special events.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the haircare industry in an education management position
- Professional licensed stylist preferred
- Expert knowledge of developing trainings for different learning styles
- Inspirational leadership style with excellent training skills
- Competence in managing budgets and financial targets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; confidence when addressing both key stakeholders and new audiences alike.
- Strategic thinker with examples of solving problems and taking initiative.
- Outstanding team player who is able to work collaboratively with all internal & external partners.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to embrace and facilitate change.
- Position requires up to 30% travel (International & Domestic)
