Title: Senior Manager, Technical Accounting
Reports To: VP, Technical Accounting
Role Overview:
The Senior Manager, Technical Accounting will play a critical role in administering and ensuring the accounting quality and overall financial health of our client accounts. This position is primarily internal-facing, with responsibilities centered around upholding and enhancing the firm's standards of accounting practice, contributing to the development of best practices, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. While the role is not directly client-facing, there may be occasions where the Senior Manager will step in to support specific audit readiness client initiatives.
The ideal candidate is proactive, collaborative, and possesses a strong technical accounting background along with a CPA license. This individual should be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and have a proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Responsibilities:
Accounting Quality & Client Health Administration:
- Oversee the firm's accounting quality assurance efforts, ensuring all practices meet the highest standards and are in line with industry norms and GAAP.
- Continually assess and enhance the firm's accounting procedures, policies, and controls.
- Develop and implement technical accounting training and continuous education programs for staff to ensure high competency levels across the firm.
- Conduct regular reviews and audits of client accounts to identify and address any issues proactively, ensuring the financial health and accuracy of all accounts.
Support for Audit Readiness Initiatives:
- Occasionally step in to provide expert support and guidance for specific client-facing audit readiness initiatives.
- Collaborate with the team to develop and refine strategies that ensure clients are fully prepared and compliant for any auditing processes.
Qualifications:
- 6-8 years of accounting experience with a focus on technical accounting and quality assurance.
- An undergraduate degree in accounting; CPA required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and a keen understanding of the latest accounting standards and regulations.
- Experience with external/internal accounting audits and reviews; Big-4 or Public Accounting experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement accounting procedures and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to a non-technical audience.

Salary range: $140,000 - $155,000 plus benefits and 401k match
