Senior Manager, Tax Compliance
The Senior Manager, Tax Compliance will primarily manage and coordinate all tax compliance matters together with the in-house tax team. This position has a hybrid schedule (office/home) and reports to the Senior Director of Tax.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage and control the group's tax provision process (preparation outsourced).
- Manage and control the group's global tax compliance process in 25+ jurisdictions, in supporting and guiding external service providers.
- Manage and coordinate the group's international transfer pricing mechanisms.
- As a real property heavy enterprise, oversee domestic and international property tax filing as well as other business taxes reporting process.
- Support to the tax department of EdgeConneX in its broadest sense, including tax research, preparation of tax technical analysis, review of financial models, transfer pricing documentation, assistance with and review of tax returns, review of legal documents.
- Participate and drive the development of the tax side of the group's evolving operating model in Europe, the Americas and Asia, working closely with international accounting team.
- Post-deal implementation of restructurings, acquisitions and divestments.
- Tax side of the group's supply chain and operations, including the design and implementation of indirect tax (VAT, GST, property taxes) and transfer pricing.
- Represent and support the company in tax audits.
- Contribute to automation workflows for the group's tax compliance and reporting processes.
- Work with the head of tax and top tier outside counsels on the interpretation and implementation of changes in applicable laws.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Outstanding leadership skills.
- Strong process management skills.
- Strong knowledge of and experience with state, federal and international tax principles and the tax aspects of different supply chain models.
- Strong communications, both written and verbal, in leading teams and coordinating with peers and other disciplines on driving projects/issues to closure.
- Commitment to organizational excellence and constant awareness to seek opportunities to improve processes/quality of deliverables.
- Superb ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects/responsibilities.
- Superb ability to meet committed timelines, leveraging assistance/input from peers.
- Strong and effective team player in working with various disciplines and peer groups; willing to roll up the sleeves and can cover all gamut of tasks required to 'getting a job done.'
- Strong attention to detail.
Experience/Education
- 7+ years of experience in a tax or accounting department of multinational enterprise.
- Experience with tax in the US and at least one more country.
- Candidates with industry experience and who hold Registered Tax Consultant License or equivalent certification are strongly encouraged to apply.
