Job Description:
Leads the CoBank recruiting team and directs the full life cycle of recruiting for a variety of disciplines including, executive, lending and credit, operations, administration, finance and accounting, and information technology. Creates staffing strategies, confirms hiring objectives, establishes recruiting processes and requirements, builds applicant sources, and determines requirements and qualifications to attract applicants. Arranges management interviews, evaluates applicants, and manages relocation program.
Essential Functions:1. Directs staff of recruiters and recruiting coordinators, including day-to-day performance management, goal setting, feedback, and work assignment.
2. Conducts full life cycle recruiting using various resources including a candidate tracking system, internet recruiting, and direct recruitment.
3. Uses business background to become a partner/consultant with hiring managers on the selection of candidates. Evaluates and recommends pre-employment tools.
4. Develops policies and processes to hire the best applicants for CoBank positions. Provides relevant information about the bank and job opportunity to candidates. Works with managers to define candidate qualifications. Arranges interviews and coordinate travel arrangements for applicants. Obtains and maintains documentation appropriate to the recruitment process.
5. Develops and implements a consistent interviewing process that focuses on candidate qualifications and fit.
6. Interacts with all levels of management and staff. Assesses associate and candidate qualities and provides appropriate feedback to management.
7. Evaluates and identifies targeted recruiting resources and makes selection based on CoBank’s needs. Distributes approved list for use by CoBank recruiters. Develops a network of executive recruiters for senior executive positions.
8. Participates in strategic workforce planning relating to recruiting. Supports organizational efforts to maximize diversity and create an inclusive environment to value differences. Creates and oversees the Diversity Recruiting strategy for CoBank.
9. Oversees the college relations programs and develops strategic relationships with universities and professors. Leverages banking center staff to support local recruitment.
10. Oversees and works closely with HRIS in the evaluation and maintenance of the Applicant Tracking System and other supporting vendors and applications.
11. Ensures bank’s hiring practices and procedures are compliant with all applicable employment laws.
12. Communicates information about positions and the organization in a variety of settings. Communicates sensitive information to appropriate parties. Keeps internal clients, superiors, and peers updated as appropriate.
13. Maintains confidentiality to comply with company practices and/or relevant laws.
14. Maintains a comprehensive library of references and historical data. Develops collateral materials for the recruiting function.
15. Produces a variety of documents based on business need and audience.
16. Assists with new hire orientation process, as needed.
17. Supports and assists the compensation area in drafting and evaluating position descriptions and consulting with managers as needed.
- Bachelor's Degree required
10 years of experience with full life cycle corporate recruiting, preferably in banking or financial services industry required
Minimum 4 - 6 years of experience as a people leader in recruiting
Travel Requirement Details:Occasional Travel occurs infrequently (typically, once a month or less).
About CoBank:The typical base pay range for this role is between $131,100 - $161,300. Compensation may vary based on individual job-related knowledge, skills, expertise, and experience. This position is eligible for a discretionary annual incentive program driven by organization and individual performance.
