Senior Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis - Gem-Pack Berries

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing annual Operating and Capital Plan, financial forecasting, and providing strategic insights to drive business performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in financial planning, analysis and reporting, and a deep understanding of budgeting processes and financial modeling. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer. This position will have one senior financial analyst/business planner direct report.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Lead the development, management, and execution of the annual Operating and Capital planning process, including developing, setting and managing the calendar, coordination of all internal participants and resources, industry and other outside information, ensuring alignment with organization goals as well as financial and other business objectives, assembling and consolidating output and leading management presentations through the presentation and approval process.
- Direct the weekly cash flow projections process
- Guide department budget managers to develop realistic and achievable goals leveraging budgeting best practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather financial data and provide recommendations
- Conduct detailed financial analysis, including forecasting and modeling to support business decisions
- Develop and maintain financial models to analyze various aspects of the business and project future business performance
- Monitor and report on key financial performance metrics, identifying trends and opportunities
- Assist the CFO and Executive Leadership Team (“
ELT
”) in developing the “management discussion and analysis” of business performance for the monthly financial reporting package and various management presentations. - Drive continuous process enhancement initiatives
- Analyze, evaluate and assist senior management establish business strategies and initiatives and provide recommendations
- Coordinate with the CFO and Controller’s office to ensure all metrics and goals are in compliance with credit agreements and GAAP
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Beginning with a staff of one experienced analyst, provide guidance and support to FP&A team members to execute day to day operations
- Assist with the prioritization of activities and delegation of tasks to maintain a balanced and productive work environment
- Mentor and train to ensure continued career development as well as enabling more efficient execution of FP&A responsibilities
Required Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from an accredited university required. MBA from a top business school highly preferred
- Minimum 4-5 Years financial planning and analysis experience in a top Fortune 500 consumer packaged goods company with proven track record of meaningful and measurable contributions.
- Strong understanding of Excel-based financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting using advanced functionality
- Proficient in using and extracting data and reporting from Enterprise Resource Planning systems such as Oracle, Oracle NetSuite or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Exception analytical skills with the ability to synthesize data into clear insights
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively convey complex financial information, actionable analysis and recommendations in a clear and organized manner that is appropriately understood by both a financial and non-financial audience.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail
- Strong Project management skills with experience managing multiple initiatives
Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is targeted at $175,000-$225,000 base, plus incentives, depending on experience, and full benefit eligibility
