The Aerojet Rocketdyne Segment of L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Manager, Manufacturing Operations to join our growing additive manufacturing team at our Daytona Beach, FL site. This is an on site position (not hybrid or remote), reporting directly to the Site Director.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The selected individual will develop strategies and manage the execution of production activities. The selected individual will be responsible for our Daytona Beach operations facility, ensuring proper planning and allocation of labor resources, driving productivity through continuous improvement while ensuring safety and quality. This position will report on key operational metrics such as on-time delivery, OEE and inventory levels. The successful individual will grow the culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence and pride of producing high quality metal additively manufactured products on-time.

50% - Create and execute strategic plans to optimize schedule, personnel, material and equipment to ensure that production goals are met. This is accomplished by using lean manufacturing tools to orchestrate the production line activities. Ensure facilities are clean and maintained to support operations through 5S culture.

25% - Day to day oversight of 5 person production team currently working 1st shift Monday through Friday with plans near term expansion plans to cover Monday through Sunday 1st shift and grow to a team of 10. Daily coordination with Engineering and Maintenance to support production operations.

25% - Establish and maintain a variety of KPIs and reports to monitor internal operating controls. Clearly communicate targets and action plans to the team and drive to success. Respond to issues that arise on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications:
Requires broad management and leadership knowledge to lead cross-department project teams or manage across the function. Typically has mastery within a specific technical area or broad expertise across multiple related job areas. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 12 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.

Supervisory and administrative skills including the ability to select, appraise, motivate and develop subordinates

Ability to optimize a manufacturing environment with process equipment, specialty tooling and facility maintenance

Familiarity with EHS practices in a manufacturing environment

Demonstrated abilities to plan, prioritize and delegate work assignments, including ability to define, implement and execute standard work

Skills and abilities to provide technical and administrative guidance for activities, including decision making in ambiguous situations

Knowledge and ability to supervise/manage large multi-functional manufacturing operations

Knowledge of design practices, manufacturing techniques and inspection requirements as they relate to the production floor

Ability to utilize MS Office tools including Outlook, Powerpoint, Word and Excel
