The Global Health Equity team advances equitable access to quality care through championing nurses and community health workers, enabling community centered and culturally conscious care and supporting access to our medicines and technologies. As Senior Manager, Global Strategy & Programs, MedTech, you will unleash your leadership and strategic marketing capabilities to deliver meaningful results for people in need around the world. Your key focus area: Vision. More than two billion people suffer from visual impairment, a number expected to double by 2030. Health equity gaps persist, particularly in resource-limited settings across the world.
Your mission: help address equitable access challenges for communities in the areas of cataract blindness and comprehensive eye care for children. In this role, you will lead the strategic design of global health equity programs, develop assets and activations to actively engage J&J employees across the enterprise, and measure our collective patient impact performance. To be successful in this role, you will seek ground-breaking insights that can translate into transformational program solutions for patients. You will explore multiple ways to drive impact, including but not limited to tools & training to support healthcare workers, health technology solutions, catalytic grant-funding opportunities to innovative organizations, alternative financing approaches, and impact investing opportunities. Internally, you will partner closely with the J&J Vision business organization, Vision Communications team, and cross-functional Global Health Equity team members. Externally, you will inspire change and make a lasting difference by engaging and learning from NGOs, multilateral health organizations, foundations, private sector innovators and others. Key Responsibilities:
Global Strategy and Program Design
- Lead the global strategy and program design for select Global Health Equity Vision programs, including but not limited to strategic objectives, recommended financial investment, geographic scope, healthcare worker and patient impact metrics, with strategic oversight of the selection process of prospective partners through to the final approvals that greenlight each program.
- Scan the globe for opportunities to learn from other organizations in the global eye health equity community, seeking to unlock potential areas for collaboration.
- Support strategy recommendations for long-range strategic planning and annual operating plans for the full global portfolio of Global Health Equity Vision program investments.
- Work closely with Global Health Equity program delivery teams to ensure effective execution of corporate and J&J Foundation grants provided to NGO partner organizations, across priority geographies around the world.
- Build strong working relationships around the world with key members of the J&J Vision business, Vision Communications team and other cross-functional J&J team members.
- Lead a global strategy that engages J&J employees across the enterprise, to actively participate in volunteer program activities.
- Develop a suite of assets that enable J&J employees to effectively learn about J&J Global Health Equity programs and communicate to external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with the Global Health Equity and Vision Communications teams to develop, deploy and measure an enterprise-wide communication strategy.
- Become a subject matter authority in the collective global eye health effort to increase equitable access, with a focus on cataract surgery and comprehensive eye health care for children.
- Conduct research to better understand key issues driving health equity gaps, with an eye towards unlocking innovative solutions for J&J to make a meaningful contribution.
- Analyze data to optimize program investments for maximum effectiveness.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in business or public health is required.
Required:
- 8 years in business and/or healthcare-related roles
- 5 years commercial marketing roles
- Track record designing ground-breaking programs for healthcare professionals and patients with positive outcomes.
- Deep understanding of healthcare, the needs of patients and the healthcare providers who serve them.
- Able to anticipate trends, envision the future and inspire change.
- Highly analytical, able to see through data and identify actionable insights.
- Strong strategic ability to think creatively, conceptually and critically to solve challenging problems.

- Strong leadership experience managing dedicated, hard-working teams.

The compensation and benefits information set forth in this posting applies to candidates hired in the United States. Candidates hired outside the United States will be eligible for compensation and benefits in accordance with their local market.
The base pay range for this position is $118,000 to $203,550 USD.
Bonus:
The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation's performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company's discretion on an individual basis.
