Senior Manager/Director of Accounting - Property Management - Alliance Resource Group

Senior Manager/Director of Accounting - Property Management  $150-190k - on-site - Irvine, CA 

Our client is a fast growing, property management company with operations in several states.  Due to growth, this is a new position and will serve as the top accounting spot for the division.  Will supervise a team of five with additional headcount expected throughout the next three years.
 
Specific duties:

• Manage, develop, and mentor the accounting team
• Develop and maintain accounting principles to ensure all practices, procedures, and internal controls are accurate and up to date with GAAP standards 
• Prepare timely and accurate monthly financial statements for assigned properties
• Serve as a key liaison with client both directly and through email
• Review general ledgers for accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure accuracy
• Review and approve payment batches 
• Manage 1099 tax reporting and compliance
• Manage federal and state tax withholding requirements 
• Filing and documenting historical records
• Implement policies and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy of department and reporting
• Complete end-to-end property management accounting including payables, receivables, bank reconciliations, move outs, offboards, etc. 
• Complete ad hoc projects as assigned

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or relevant accounting experience
• Experience with multi-family property management
• Four plus years in a management capacity with demonstrated leadership skills
• Excellent executive presence with solid written and verbal communication
