Senior Manager, Direct Materials in manufacturing typically oversees the procurement, storage, and distribution of materials necessary for production over 7 facilities nationwide.

Procurement Management: Oversee the purchasing of materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. Inventory Control: Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production demands without overstocking. Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all materials meet regulatory standards and quality requirements. Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of purchasing agents and inventory staff.Process Improvement: Implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs in the supply chain.

Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field. Experience: Typically requires 6+ years of experience in materials management, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Skills: Strong leadership, collaboration, accountability, and analytical skills. Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain software is often required.Certifications: Certifications like CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) can be advantageous.

This role requires 50% travel each month.
