Join our dynamic team dedicated to enhancing the ASML Silicon Valley Development Operations and HPC infrastructure. We're committed to refining 7 core processes: Code, Build, Test, Package, Release, Configure, and Monitor. As a leader in this role, you'll guide a talented team in delivering top-quality products for our software developers and test engineers.
This pivotal role within the Engineering Operations team is for a Manager of DevOps and High-Performance Computing (HPC) in the Cloud. You'll oversee a team responsible for a large-scale Linux cluster utilized for software development, testing, and exploration, supporting the development of ASML's computational lithography software. Your responsibilities will include developing operational processes, setting technical standards, aiding in architecture development, and mentoring team members.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Collaborate with central IT teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT services essential for Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CICD) and HPC applications.
Establish and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with internal stakeholders.
Lead project planning and management for new features and ongoing enhancements.
Manage cloud budget forecasting and collaborate with software managers and marketing on resource planning.
Prioritize, plan, and delegate tasks within the team while maintaining transparent communication with stakeholders.
Uphold company security standards and implement necessary protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned, with flexibility to adapt to evolving needs.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; Master's degree preferred.
Over 10 years of experience in managing large-scale Linux cluster environments, supporting applications at a scale of up to 50,000 cores.
Extensive experience managing teams responsible for server, network, and storage deployment and maintenance within large-scale Linux clusters.
Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud-based deployments, preferably on Azure, including software-driven deployment and management of cloud resources.
Skills:
Proficiency with cluster schedulers such as Spectrum LSF or Oracle Grid Engine.
Strong familiarity with cluster storage options, both traditional (NFS, CIFS) and cloud-based.
Experience in cost monitoring, optimization, and forecasting in a dynamic cloud environment.
Ability to integrate various infrastructure components seamlessly.
Proven track record of adopting and integrating new technologies.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Self-motivated with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
Detail-oriented with a results-driven mindset.
Additional Information:
This position is based in San Jose, California, with some flexibility for remote work up to two days a week.
Travel may be required based on business needs.
