Job DescriptionRole Purpose:
The Senior Manager of Corporate FP&A is a critical role on the Corporate FP&A team. Reporting to the Vice President of FP&A, this role provides the unique opportunity to analyze multiple business units (Streaming, Film, Television Studios), manage the strategic planning and estimate cycles, and create presentations to senior NBCU and Comcast management.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the P&L forecasting process for all quarterly estimates, yearly budgets, and five-year strategic plans
- Communicate regularly with finance leaders at each of NBCUniversal's business units to monitor performance metrics and synthesize trends
- Perform P&L analysis for all forecasting cycles, including understanding each division's variances (e.g. budget/prior year) and related risks and opportunities to the current forecast
- Assist in the creation of presentations summarizing NBCU's performance for Senior Management, Board of Directors, Investor Relations, etc.
- Manage and maintain monthly pacing/reporting system
- Shared management responsibility over a Financial Analyst
- Significant involvement in projects to improve/upgrade total company planning processes
- Help execute on ad hoc requests as assigned by NBCU's head of FP&A and/or CFO
- Identify opportunities and implement process improvements for automation of planning processes, trend analysis, and reporting actuals
Basic Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years relevant accounting/finance experience
- Solid Computer / Analysis Skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint
Desired Characteristics
- Previous experience in the media and entertainment industry highly preferred
- SAP BW/BPC experience
- Interpersonal skills with the proven ability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize and encapsulate complex data and information in order to build financial models and presentations to senior leadership
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize work assignments and work well under pressure
- Must be accurate, highly organized with great attention to detail
- Proactive approach to problem solving including analytical and information system skills
- Excellent work ethic and follow through
This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
