Title: Senior Manager, Corporate Accounting
Salary: $150-170k + Bonus + RSUs
Job Description: The Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting, you will be a trusted advisor and key member of the Corporate Finance Team focusing on capital accounts. This role will own all fixed asset and lease transactions and ensure alignment with policies across US and international locations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, mentor and lead a team of 10-12 individuals, responsible for our global fixed asset accounting, and policies and procedures. This includes satellites, ground networks, customer-premise equipment, and leases.
- Demonstrate your practical accounting experience, knowledge and research related to fixed assets and leases to prepare or review documentation to support complex accounting determinations.
- Responsible for the review of all fixed asset and lease-related transactions, journal entries, reconciliations, reporting, and disclosures.
- Serve as the main point of contact for fixed assets and leases to our internal and external auditors and support our SOX controls and testing.
- Apply your accounting expertise to advise and assess potential capital expenditures to ensure compliance with the company’s acquisition policies, budget, and GAAP.
- Work with the SAP implementation team to provide business requirements and participate in design sessions to achieve those requirements.
- Continuously drive process improvements in the capital area around capitalization, disposition, lease portfolio maintenance, journal entry analysis, reconciliation, reporting and other transactions or tasks.
- Experience with ASC 842 Lease Accounting.
- ERP system experience (Oracle and SAP preferred)
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years of related experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
- Related experience in capital accounting maintaining and reconciling fixed asset subledgers for US and International locations.
- Experience leading and developing a team.
- Proven understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and accounting theory.
- CPA license
- US Citizenship is required.
