Job Title: Senior Finance Manager
Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Finance Manager to spearhead the Business Unit Finance function for our product line, ensuring financial strategies align with organizational goals. Reporting directly to the VP of Financial Planning & Analysis, this role will oversee the financial planning calendar, provide strategic insights to the Business Unit General Manager, and lead a team of two finance professionals. The Senior Finance Manager will play a pivotal role in guiding the company towards achieving its financial objectives.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead all financial planning activities, including monthly recurring revenue projections and annual operating plans. Collaborate in setting and meeting crucial reporting and planning deadlines.
- Utilize data-driven insights to enhance performance, employing strong analytical skills, financial planning and analysis techniques, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
- Collaborate closely with business leaders to manage financial performance and track functional progress towards financial goals. Conduct weekly meetings to review financial results and expenditure trends, updating financial models to reflect organizational metrics.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives, ensuring alignment with financial strategies.
- Prepare ad-hoc financial plans and conduct business analyses to highlight current trends and performance metrics, supporting informed decision-making.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of finance professionals, fostering their growth and development.
- Lead initiatives aimed at enhancing budgeting, forecasting, and flash processes, leveraging relevant tools to drive efficiency and accuracy.
Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field.
- 6-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a preference for experience in the SaaS industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial planning tools such as Adaptive Insights or NetSuite is advantageous.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and quantitative analysis skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Experience:
- 6-8 years of experience in finance or accounting, with a preference for experience in the SaaS industry.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance or a related field.
Skills:
- Attention to detail.
