Senior Manager/Associate Director Corporate Strategy and New Product Planning - OSI

PepGen is seeking a highly motivated and analytical individual to support our Head of Corporate Strategy. This role entails developing competitive and market analyses to support our current and future pipeline. The individual would be well versed in reviewing a variety of data sources spanning but not limited to scientific and clinical publications, market and financial data, and synthesizing and communicating the analyses in a tailored manner to address the business objectives. The ideal candidate is passionate about R&D in biopharma, is a strong team player, and is willing to roll up the sleeves to contribute to business needs.

Responsibilities

The individual will work cross-functionally with R&D, Finance and Investor Relations to conduct and synthesize varied analyses to support our current and future pipeline.

Key activities encompass but are not limited to:

1. Support or lead internal pipeline expansion activities
   • Identify new indications and support additional platform expansion opportunities
   • Conduct scientific, clinical, commercial and strategic analyses to develop business cases to support Go/No Go decision to invest in platform expansion investments and new diseases for the Enhanced Oligonucleotide Delivery (EDO) platform
2. New Product Planning and Commercial Assessments
   • Stay abreast of the competitive landscape in DMD and DM1 and new disease areas in the Discovery pipeline
   • Provide market insights and strategic analyses on the market landscape to inform commercial strategy for EDO51 and/or EDODM1
   • Support or lead target Product Profile (TPP) development for pipeline programs and conduct primary and secondary market research as needed to develop TPPs and business cases
   • Develop revenue forecast models for pipeline programs
3. Corporate Governance and Operations
   • Support or lead development of Corporate Deck and Board of Directors meetings materials
   • Support IR/PR in developing materials for external communication
   • Contribute to updating the SEC filings (10K, 10Q etc.)
4. Support financing and business development activities
   • Set up and manage data room for financing and business development activities
   • Conduct deal analyses for in-licensing and out-licensing opportunities

Requirements

(Education, Skills, Competencies)

1. Have advanced degree (MS or PhD) in Life Sciences and 5+ years of experience in Corporate Strategy, New Product Planning, and/or Business Development roles in pharma, biotech or Strategy Consulting focused in biopharma
2. Strong knowledge of market trends, competitive landscape in the biopharma industry; experience in rare diseases preferred
3. Skilled in reviewing and synthesizing scientific, clinical and market data specifically related to the therapeutic areas of focus at PepGen
4. Strong strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving skills
5. Adept at working cross-functionally, building and managing relationships with peers and senior leaders
6. Independently develop succinct and high-quality materials with limited oversight and guidance
7. Effective verbal and written communication skills; comfortable in presenting data and analyses to internal executives, Board of Directors and external stakeholders (e.g. KOLs, pharma companies)
8. Collaborative attitude and a team player willing to roll up the sleeves based on evolving business needs
9. Ability to get things done in a timely manner and prioritize competing activities with limited time and resources
10. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Outlook) and GraphPad Prism
11. Available to travel up to 10-15% if/when needed.
12. Ability to work in a hybrid environment by being on-site Tuesday through Thursday

Note: This is not a remote role. We like to work together and operate in a hybrid model in office Tues, Weds & Thurs each week.
