By doing so, we are making the world a better, safer, and more productive and inclusive place.Job Description: Provides advisory and assistance support to the Office of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA), Central Division (SAF/IARC), Saudi Arabia Country Desk to support the sale of F-15SA aircraft and other aviation systems to the country of Saudi ArabiaResponsibilities:Preparing, managing, and maintaining databases for Kingdom of Saudi Arabia KSA Correspondence (Blue/White Dots), Case Program Status Reports, and Letters of Request (LORs), and LOAs.
Develop and maintain case trackers, spreadsheets, and other reports that track program status.Analyzing existing US military and host nation's problems, identify/assess alternative sustainment and enhancement strategies, provide recommendations, and assist in defining requirements for future programs.Analyzing existing US military and host nation defense and capability requirements, identify/assess alternative sustainment and enhancement strategies, provide recommendations, and assist in defining requirements for future programs.Providing input, as tasked by SAF/IA senior leadership, SAF/IA Division Chief /Deputy/Branch Chief, or Country Director, to USAF Security Cooperation Enterprise stakeholders, including the AFLCMC and various USAF Weapon and System Program Offices for action and response to Partner Nation Government/MoD and Air Force.Providing expertise in munitions capabilities associated with the Partner Nation’s weapons systems.
Provide recommendations to Headquarters Air Force (HAF), AFLCMC, and SAF/IAR regarding RSAF/Saudi MoD design interface, product support management, maintenance planning, technical data, training and training devices, supply support, support and test equipment, munitions management, packaging/handling/storage and transportation, computer resources, and manpower and personnel support elements as outlined in the DoD Integrated Product Support (IPS) Element handbook.Providing program or weapons system expertise in the following areas:Air and Space SuperiorityGlobal PresenceRapid Global MobilityPrecision EngagementInformation SuperiorityAgile Combat Support to HAF, AFLCMC, IAR, and Partner Nation Air Defense/MoD.Supporting the SAF/IA Country Director at conferences, meetings, and logistics/program/financial management reviews (L/P/FMR), in both the United States and KSA, in conjunction with all currently implemented and prospective KSA programsDrafting amendments and modifications to ongoing USAF agreements with KSA.
Duties include taking necessary staffing actions with senior-level legal, fiscal, weapons systems, disclosure, and political-military offices to validate the necessity of potential modificationsRequirements1.
Bachelor’s Degree with a desired emphasis in an International Affairs curriculum.2. SECRET Security Clearance.3.
Minimum of Seven (7) years of experience with demonstrated effectiveness and success in the mission areas below:USAF LOA Development and Execution ManagementFamiliarity with US military aircraft operations, maintenance, and/or logistics support with the systems purchased from the US by KSAFamiliarity with USAF sales to foreign governmentsExperience with DoD acquisitions, program management, and standard computer applicationsExperience with conflict resolution, mediation, and ability to work well with foreign partners4.
Knowledge of:FMS case programming and managementSecurity Cooperation programsBuilding Partner Capacity programsUS DoD staff experience in a military or civilian capacity.Knowledge and general understanding of USAF roles and missions.Knowledge and general understanding of security cooperation, international affairs, security assistance, foreign military sales to include the processes, legislation, and players.Knowledge and understanding of SAF/IA’s role in USG and international security cooperation community.Demonstrated experience implementing DoD acquisition policies, laws, regulations, and guidance required to implement FMS LOAs.5.
