We are currently seeking an experienced and highly-skilled Senior Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of equipment and machinery, ensuring optimal productivity and efficiency within our facility. This role involves working with a variety of systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, chillers, and conveyors. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and machine maintenance technology.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
2. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on various types of equipment including boilers, chillers, and refrigeration systems.
3. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues including VFD, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption to operations.
4. Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals for equipment installation, repair, and maintenance.
5. Utilize CMMS for tracking maintenance activities, generating reports, and managing spare parts inventory.
6. Perform welding tasks as needed, including MIG, to repair equipment and maintain structural integrity.
7. Maintain the conveyor system, ensuring optimal functionality and efficiency.
8. Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
9. Train junior technicians and provide guidance on maintenance best practices.
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the engineering industry.
2. Strong knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, refrigeration, and chillers.
3. Proven experience in mechanical maintenance and electrical troubleshooting.
4. Familiarity with machine maintenance technology.
5. Experience with boilers and conveyor systems.
6. Proficiency in interpreting and working with schematics.
7. Experience with CMMS for maintenance management.
8. Skills in repair, MIG, maintenance, and welding.
9. Knowledge of VFD troubleshooting and repair.
10. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
11. Strong communication and team-working skills.
12. Relevant certifications or qualifications would be an advantage.
