JOB TITLE: SENIOR MAINTENANCE MECHANIC

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- Two Year Technical Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology. Preferred but not mandatory.
- Job-Related Experience: Minimum of 3 years in a production maintenance environment with an emphasis in machine electrical.
- Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machine issues as they arise; both independently and as part of a team.
- Able to read/interpret schematics and diagrams
- Experience in fluid control systems, both pneumatic and hydraulic.
- Strong background with industrial electronics, including troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machine electrical circuits in a wide range of voltages (12V to 480V).
- Experience in industrial PLCs and machine programming, with the ability to troubleshoot and modify programming logic.
- Fabrication and machining experience a plus.
POSITION SUMMARY: Perform a full range of building & equipment maintenance, repair, and installation tasks, both scheduled and emergency, with little or no supervision. The success of this position is based on effectively carrying out the following “Essential Functions of the Position.”
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION:
- Able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
- Answer emergency calls in the plant during hours and outside regular working hours
- Read and operate measurement tools
- Must be able to cooperate and work with other trades people, factory service reps, and production, and office personnel.
- Work independently and in a team environment
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine maintenance around the office and plant utilities
- Analyze and troubleshoot problems by observing equipment in operation and during idle
- Investigate and find root cause when office and plant equipment isn’t functioning
- Monitor, identify, and respond promptly to signs of malfunction in machinery and equipment
- Determine appropriate machine maintenance schedules and cycles to promote optimal plant operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
