Senior Maintenance Manager
TheSenior Maintenance Manager provides maintenance leadership and support to theDenver, CO high volume Purina Animal Food Manufacturing plant, as well as the bulk facility in Commerce City. This also includes focus on planning and implementation of maintenance enhancements that will improve productivity while assuring highest levels of safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory compliance.
This individual will manage site assets, facility maintenance, facility preventive maintenance program and modifications of equipment and ensures that mechanical and electrical expertise is available to production and other departments to maintain production systems, equipment, utilities, buildings, and grounds. Responsible for the supervision, development, and leadership of the approximately seven plant maintenance personnel across three shifts and two facilities.
Experience and Knowledge with the following:
- Solid PLC (Allen Bradly) knowledge, Electrical knowledge, strong Mechanical Aptitude, familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) preferred
- Ability to follow Continuous Improvement (CI) Processes/Lean Maintenance.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPI) to identify opportunities for improvement in the maintenance department.
- Follow all Sanitation and Quality Policies and Procedures, and report and follow through on any deficiencies.
- Experience with managing CAPEX projects from concept to completion.
- Adapt to changing organizational and operational needs with the ability to lead others through change.
- Skills in organization, prioritizing and attention to detail highly desired.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance management systems (e.g., CMMS) and best practices for predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance.
- Solid understanding of health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Manage the operating budget at two facilities.
- Manage facility parts inventory and ensure all critical parts are in stock
- Manage facility preventative maintenance programs
- Manage facility capital expenditure budget.
- Extensive project management planning and oversight experience.
- Computer Skills including Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CAD, Project, and Visio.
- Solid understanding of maintenance planning and scheduling.
- Understand World Class and Best in the Industry Maintenance practices.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills to collaborate with other departments, including production, quality, and engineering, to optimize plant performance.
Experience-Education (Required):
- High School Diploma
- 7+ years of proven experience in a Maintenance Supervisory/Management Role in a manufacturing environment.
Experience-Education (Preferred):
- Bachelor's degree in engineering / project management or related field desired.
The target salary for this position is dependent upon experience and is approximately $95,000-$130,000.
This role may require occasional off shift hours and weekend(s) / holiday(s) as needed.
