Position Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a unique blend of technical expertise, domain knowledge in healthcare, and a passion for leveraging data to make a positive impact. As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will play a key role in ingesting, analyzing, and modeling complex healthcare data to deliver valuable insights to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ingest and integrate data from various sources, including electronic health records, medical claims, and more.
Design and implement robust data pipelines using tools such as Apache Airflow and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
Develop and deploy machine learning models to extract meaningful patterns and insights from healthcare data using Vertex AI among other tools.
Work closely with medical practitioners, researchers, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into actionable solutions.
Build scalable and interpretable models that facilitate decision-making and drive innovation in healthcare delivery.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and healthcare technology to continuously improve our analytics capabilities.
Qualifications:
PhD in Computer Science, Statistics, Physics, or a related field with at least 1 year of relevant experience OR Bachelor's/Master's degree with at least 5 years of experience in data science or a related field.
Strong proficiency in machine learning techniques, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
Hands-on experience with building and deploying data pipelines using Apache Airflow, GCP, or similar technologies.
Deep understanding of healthcare data, including electronic health records, medical imaging, and clinical trials.
Excellent programming skills in languages such as Python with experience in working with large-scale datasets.
Proven track record of delivering impactful data-driven solutions in a collaborative environment.
Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation: $127k-$215k/annual salary (national average, premium markets may vary)
