A Senior Living Sales Specialistis responsible for all sales and community outreach activity to meet and exceed occupancy sales goals and expectations for Manor of the Plains. This position is accountable for selling the senior living concept to prospective residents and their families and building relationships with community partners to achieve occupancy goals.
They participate with the community leadership team to promote the mission of providing senior services that are guided by Christian values. The employee values the community as the resident's home and works to create attributes of home and models person-centered care.
Senior living includes long-term care, skilled nursing and other healthcare services, assisted living, and independent living. The Senior Living Sales Specialist must have the knowledge, skills and abilities to pivot between meeting business needs and providing exceptional customer service to residents and their families. They should be able to cultivate relationships with potential residents and their families to include tours, phone calls, and home visits with continuous follow up. They should be knowledgable about our services and be able to explain them to others. They should also be able to develop business partner accounts with hospitals, home care and rehabilitation facilities to gain referrals from those accounts. The Specialist needs to be resourceful in identifying other potential business referral partners and comfortable preparing presentations and distributing marketing materials to develop new relationships.
Other knowledge, skills and abilities include teamwork in a healthcare setting; knowledge of senior living services; fee structures and payor sources; experience with lead management database systems; proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent written and oral communication and presentation skill; conflict resolution skills and the ability to handle rejections. Specialists should have the ability to follow procedures and take initiatives to execute our sales plan to achieve occupancy goals.
The ideal candidate for this position will also have these attributes: patience, positivity and enthusiasm, reliability, diligence in completing tasks and meeting deadlines, great listening and communication skills, respect for people's privacy and tact dealing with sensitive information.
The position is mostly weekdays, Monday through Friday with occasional evening or weekend availability. Local travel is expected and a company vehicle is provided. A valid driver's license and insurability is required for this position. Local travel may include transporting residents around the Manor's campus, visiting referral partners, hosting/attending events and speaking engagements pertaining to our services and contacting potential residents in their homes.
All candidates must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
- Degree in Marketing/ Business or related field or equivalent sales experience preferred.
- Experience with senior living admissions/ resident sales strongly preferred.
- Understanding of payer sources such as Medicare and Medicaid preferred.
- Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office and the ability to learn and use our CRM/ leads software to record all sales activity.
- Communications skills as follows:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
- Must have the ability to explain current residency fee structure and monthly service fee structure to others.
- Must be tactful and professional with potential residents, visitors and the public.
- Must function independently when necessary, demonstrating flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with residents, staff and support agencies.
- Must be able to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures that are necessary for achieving sales goals.
- Valid driver's license is required.
