Job Details
Summary/Objective:
This litigation position will join a team of paralegals specializing in class action lawsuits, with an emphasis on proactive case management. The ideal candidate excels in fast-paced settings, possessing a blend of technical expertise and strong litigation experience. The candidate should also have a solid background in organizing documents, managing discovery, working in document databases, preparing and attending trials, docketing and bluebook cite checking.
Responsibilities:
Maintain organized case files and efficiently handle voluminous document productions.
Develop, maintain, and refine processes for the initial review of incoming cases to integrate materials into standard firm systems.
Prepare cases for trial and attend as necessary.
Review case briefing to ensure compliance with Court rules and accurate Bluebook citations to ensure successful filings.
Collaborate with attorneys to develop and implement litigation strategies for class action and traditional litigation and demonstrate strong communication & analytical skills.
Monitor case dockets and deadlines, ensuring compliance with court rules and regulations to input deadlines into CompuLaw.
Conduct legal research on case-related issues.
Stay current with changes in relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree is required or a combination of education, certifications, and demonstrable work experience.
5+ years of litigation and trial experience, class action experience is a plus.
Proficiency in legal research tools, including Westlaw.
Proficiency in use of the Bluebook and in locating and interpreting court rules.
