Salary/Hourly Rate:
$35/hr – $40/hr
Position Overview:
The Senior Leasing Coordinator will oversee and coordinate all aspects of the leasing process while managing a team of leasing professionals. This role will include high-level administrative support, lease management, and tenant relations, ensuring efficient and seamless leasing operations. The Senior Leasing Coordinator will work closely with the Asset Director, General Manager, and senior leadership to implement best practices and streamline processes to maximize occupancy and revenue. This is a senior-level position that requires a proactive approach, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to handle complex tasks and responsibilities in a high-volume setting.
Responsibilities of the Senior Leasing Coordinator:
- Leading all aspects of leasing operations, ensuring processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with company goals.
- Managing and mentoring the leasing team, ensuring a high standard of performance, professionalism, and customer service.
- Reviewing and analyzing leases, amendments, and agreements to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Overseeing the full leasing lifecycle from advertising, application processing, and lease signing to move-in coordination.
- Conducting audits of advertisements, ensuring consistent and accurate listings across all platforms.
- Managing and tracking the status of leasing applications, ensuring timely follow-ups and resolution of any discrepancies.
- Preparing and reviewing housing assignments, license agreements, and payment arrangements for new tenants.
- Collaborating with the Leasing Director and senior leadership on strategic projects and initiatives to improve leasing processes and occupancy rates.
- Maintaining accurate records of tenant information and apartment status in company databases.
- Managing critical communications with prospective tenants, answering inquiries, and providing exceptional customer service.
- Coordinating and facilitating resident move-ins, ensuring a smooth transition for new tenants.
- Serving as a key liaison between the leasing team, management, and other departments, ensuring alignment and effective communication.
Qualifications for the Senior Leasing Coordinator:
- Minimum of 5 years of leasing experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior coordinator role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel, Word, Outlook, and YARDI (or similar real estate management software).
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with clients, tenants, and staff professionally and effectively.
- Strong leadership skills with experience in mentoring and managing a team.
- Ability to conduct property tours and present leasing options to prospective residents with confidence and professionalism.
- High level of attention to detail, particularly in lease documentation and compliance matters.
- Must be capable of resolving issues promptly, offering solutions, and working collaboratively to overcome challenges.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent professional experience in real estate, property management, or a related field.
