As a Senior Lead Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the (insert LOB or sub LOB), you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.
Job responsibilities
+ Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
+ Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
+ Drives decisions that influence the product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
+ Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus
+ Actively contributes to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle
+ Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
+ Leads team of Software Engineer while still being hands-on in coding/programming
+ Provide leadership and direction for the Technical delivery of project objectives and changes to meet business requirements
+ Oversight and leadership for data movement and transformative development activities
+ Designs software and produces scalable and resilient technical designs
+ Works with the business to understand requirements and designs new modules/functionality to meet needs
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Formal training or certification on software engineering* concepts and 5+ years applied experience
+ Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
+ Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
+ Advanced experience with Java (8 or above), Spring Boot, Spring-core, Hibernate, RESTful, GraphQL, NoSql, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, Mockito, Jacoco
+ Solid Multi-threaded Programming knowledge and expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
+ Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
+ Hands-on Experience in Micro Services Design and Development, adhering to Cloud principles such as AWS
+ Implementation knowledge of managing asynchronous communication using Kafka or other JMS broker solutions to achieve similar result
+ RDBMS experience such as Oracle
+ Understanding of Agile Development approach and experience with continuous integration/development using Jenkins/Maven
+ Experience with Code Reviews - PMD, JUNIT, Performance, Memory Management
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
+ Knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
+ Understanding of financial control and budget management
+ Experience working with containers including Kubernetes and Docker
