About the Job
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estimator to join our team for the LA Metro project. The Senior Estimator will play a key role in the planning and financial oversight of our projects, ensuring accurate and efficient cost management from pre-construction through to project completion.
Position Responsibilities:

Cost Estimation: Develop accurate cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and overheads.

Project Analysis: Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive estimates.

Bid Preparation: Prepare detailed bid proposals and submission packages, ensuring compliance with client requirements.

Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks related to cost, schedule, and project scope and provide mitigation strategies.

Supplier and Subcontractor Coordination: Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain cost quotes and assess their qualifications and capabilities.

Budget Management: Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial targets.

Change Order Management: Evaluate and quantify changes in scope or project conditions and provide updated cost estimates for change orders.

Cost Reporting: Prepare regular reports detailing cost projections, variances, and updates for project stakeholders.

Collaboration with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure that the estimates align with the project’s scope and goals.

Value Engineering: Propose cost-saving strategies without compromising quality or project objectives.

Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all estimate data, including assumptions, qualifications, and supporting documentation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and construction technologies to improve estimating processes and accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master's degree in engineering, Construction Management or related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Certifications required, may include PMP, PE, and/or any other relevant Professional Licensure or Certification. Required to have certified estimating professional credentials.
- 15 years or more of general estimating experience directly related to both engineering and construction projects.
Position is Hybrid.
Salary Range: $132,703 to $177,789 YR
