THE ROLE YOU WILL PLAY
Seeking a highly skilled Senior Jet Propulsion Engineer to lead the design, analysis, and optimization of jet propulsion systems. In this role, you will play a critical part in working with the team to developing high-performance aircraft engines, leveraging your technical expertise and passion for advancing aerospace technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design: Lead the design and development of jet propulsion systems, ensuring they meet performance, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Project Oversight: Lead in propulsion-related projects from concept through testing, ensuring on-time delivery and alignment with goals and budgets.
- Testing & Validation: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for propulsion systems, analyze results, and document findings to support validation and certification.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to integrate propulsion systems seamlessly into aircraft platforms.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering innovation and continuous improvement.
- Continuous Innovation: Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement and technological advancement to develop next-generation propulsion systems.
BACKGROUND PROFILE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree or Ph.D. strongly preferred for senior candidates but not required.
- 8+ years of experience in jet propulsion engineering or a related aerospace field, with a proven track record of successful projects.
- Expertise in propulsion system design, thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and aerospace materials.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management abilities, with excellent communication skills to engage stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Hands-on experience with engine testing processes.
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing techniques and emerging propulsion technologies.
