Senior Java Engineer (TS/SCI CI Poly) - Cyberstrike GovTech

We're approaching the end of 2024 (where does time go?!), which usually means that companies spend less time thinking about Recruitment... so that they can spend more time thinking about Santa Claus, PTO and mince pies!

However... this client is a little bit different, and Recruitment is certainly at the forefront of their thoughts as we edge closer to 2025!

Who are the client?

They're a boutique IT Consultancy who deliver mission-critical projects into the US Department of Defense (DoD), with a focus on higher levels of clearance (e.g. CI Poly, Fullscope Poly) and longer-term engagements.

In terms of size, they're admittedly small (>10 employees), but their growth plans are huge... with this role being a key part of a volume hiring campaign that will span into the middle of 2025.

What they're looking for:

• Experienced Software Engineers (15-20 years), with a preference for strong Back End Engineers.
• Strong skills with the Java stack (Java 7/8, Spring, WSDL) and Web Services (SOAP, REST).
• Expertise working with database technologies - Oracle, MySQL, SQL, MongoDb etc.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science (or a related field).

Moreover, due to the nature of the work (i.e. GovTech), applicants must have an active Security Clearance up to TS/SCI CI Poly.

In terms of location, due to the aforementioned SC requirements, you will be on-site x5 days per week in either Alexandria (VA) or Annapolis Junction (MD)... this means that no remote working is involved in this instance.

The salary range for this is pretty flexible ($240,000 - $290,000), and they offer a varied benefits package including 401(k) and insurance.
