We are looking for a senior IT systems administrator to support our 60+ person team of engineers, surveyors and administrative professionals. Broadly, this role includes providing network and information technology support by overseeing the network and servers; managing workstations; electronic devices and software; and IT troubleshooting. Work will be out of our Collinsville, IL office with occasional travel to our branch offices including Belleville, IL, St. Louis, MO and St. Charles, MO.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5+ years of related experience.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or relevant field.
- Experience with VMware management, 365 management and network administration.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with forward-thinking ideas to leverage technology to drive innovation and efficiency for the company.
Responsibilities
- Maintain network infrastructure 24/7 including updating and upgrading servers, daily backups, disaster recovery and off-site storage.
- Manage over 100 workstations including set-up, imaging and maintenance.
- Oversee variety of electronic devices including cell phones, tablets and notebooks with mobile VPN and remote access set-up, updates and maintenance.
- Oversee software licensing, installation and updates and coordinate with project managers on needs, purchases and renewals.
- Provide support for remote office connections and work-from-home set-ups including VPN and LMI set-up, maintenance and managing user accounts.
- Manage hardware and software service contracts and oversee maintenance for routers, firewalls, printers and other equipment.
- Manage audio/visual and computer set-up for conference rooms across multiple offices and support as needed for limited off-site meetings.
- Oversee IT Help Desk with technical awareness and ability to solve technical issues.
- Develop and manage the IT budget and collaborate on budget items with project managers.
- Establish and enforce IT policies.
