Opportunity Overview
Reporting to the Associate Director of IT Operations at Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, as the Senior IT Support Specialist, you will provide IT support services at the Rhythm Corporate Head Office in Boston MA onsite support at least three days per week and whenever needed, including but not limited to, day-to-day support of hardware, software, desktop and mobile applications, meeting rooms, printers, active directory, endpoint management system, network devices, servers, and specialized systems administration. The role will interface with the Rhythm IT operations and may participate in a variety of IT operations tasks across Rhythm global offices as needed. The role will leverage your ability to multitask in a professional environment while working with people at all levels across the entire organization. You will provide these services in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring a high level of customer service.

Responsibilities and Duties
- Act as the primary point of contact for all IT service related topics at Rhythm Corporate Head Office in Boston.
- Provide hardware and software support for Rhythm employees remotely and onsite at the Boston office whenever needed.
- Troubleshoot and resolve / triage IT deskside related requests.
- Handle the IT onboarding and conduct IT review meetings for Rhythm new hires.
- Liaise and work collaboratively with the Rhythm US based service desk and IT team for all technology needs and follow up to ticket resolution.
- Provide system administration support.
- Participate in operational tasks in the Microsoft 365 administration environments as needed.
- Participate in IT projects and initiatives as needed and directed.
- Interact with hardware and software vendors as needed.
- Maintain office technology including workstations, printers, and AV equipment.
- Maintain and update documentation as needed.
- Keep up to date on technology trends, participate in professional training, and seek professional certifications when possible.
- Stay integrated with the overall IT department for projects and activities.
- Develop and communicate ideas for improvements across IT.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of IT support experience, biopharma setting is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferable or combination of education and experience
- Microsoft certifications preferred
- Demonstrable skills in troubleshooting hardware, software, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Experience with the following applications and/or systems is strongly preferred:
- Windows Operating Systems 7 through 11
- Microsoft Office 2016 through M365
- MAC is a plus
- VOIP
- Video Conferencing
- Zoom rooms
- Remote Support Tools
- Domain management
- Microsoft 365 Admin Center including Azure/Entra active directory, M365, Intune, and virtual machines
- AWS
- Able to review and suggest improvements to IT processes and technology setup
- As a first point of contact, ability to demonstrate a high level of service, , urgency, problem solving, follow-up and communication skills
