About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Investment Associate to join our dynamic Investment Team. Specializing in the U.S. multi-family homes sector, this role is pivotal in driving corporate growth, facilitating investment decisions, and managing portfolios. The ideal candidate will possess advanced expertise in financial modeling, market research, and strategic planning while demonstrating leadership in team collaboration and development.
Responsibilities:
- Source, screen, underwrite, and execute acquisitions of strategic portfolios and multi-family communities, with a focus on special situation acquisitions.
- Engage in capital markets activities, including debt sourcing, refinancing, and equity raising efforts.
- Lead financial modeling and in-depth research to inform corporate growth and portfolio management strategies.
- Prepare and deliver presentations that align key stakeholders and facilitate consensus-building.
- Mentor and coach analysts to foster team development.
- Monitor market and economic trends to uncover insights for investment strategies.
- Collaborate with institutional partners, oversee due diligence, and address investor queries effectively.
- Contribute to corporate expansion and portfolio growth initiatives through inter-departmental collaboration.
- Oversee investment-level reporting, prepare comprehensive materials, and provide strategic recommendations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, or a related field from a top university, with strong academic performance.
- 4-7 years of relevant experience in investment banking, consulting, or real estate investments/asset management.
- Demonstrated experience in sourcing, screening, analyzing, and presenting investment opportunities.
- Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and critical questioning.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for impactful messaging and reporting.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Proven ability to coach team members, with a leadership and growth-oriented mindset.
