This role reports to the Director, Learning & Development, and is in charge of overseeing and carrying out content creation and instructional design projects. This includes developing learning materials, managing external resources, coordinating vendors, planning for regular course revisions, and building cooperative relationships with cross-functional teams.

Instructional Design:
- Responsible for leading analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of L&D content;
- Including online and classroom curriculum, ILT presentations, micro-learnings, video training, assessments, feedback surveys, progress evaluations.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to determine learning objectives and outcomes.
- Create thorough storyboards and scripts that show the layout, sequence, interactions, and content of multimedia and interactive elements in the learning materials.
- Measure the effectiveness of instructional programs using appropriate evaluation methods. Analyze feedback and data to continuously improve learning solutions.
- Advocate support of cross-functional partnership with Talent Management (P&C) and Marketing
- Working with experts to plan and update training content, making sure learning materials stay up-to-date, useful, and in line with business goals and SOP changes.
- Support ongoing learning and development initiatives; including the Operational Excellence Academy, the Field Accelerated Superintendent Training, and QuickStart.
Contractor and/or Vendor Management:
- Establish specific project boundaries and objectives for contractors and/or vendors and make sure they agree on project needs and timelines.
- Provide guidance and feedback to contractors and/or vendors to ensure consistent quality standards.
- Foster a team spirit and skill growth among junior contractors by sharing and learning from each other.
Learning Technology
- Harness the power of educational technology tools and platforms to enhance the learning experience. Incorporate multimedia elements, interactive activities, simulations, and other engaging features into the operations curriculum.
- Stay current with emerging trends in instructional design, adult learning theories, and educational technology.
- Keep up with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in instructional design to continuously enhance the quality and impact of learning content.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in a related field or has equivalent work experience, providing a strong foundation in educational principles and practices.
- Possesses over 5 years of experience writing and creating engaging learning experiences and training deliverables, demonstrating a proven track record of success in the field.
- Proven experience in instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in graphic design, multimedia, and UI design.
- Applies advanced design and adult learning principles, including ADDIE, Design Thinking, Kirkpatrick Model, and Bloom’s Taxonomy, to develop effective educational programs and materials.
- Effectively manages multiple projects simultaneously using strong project management skills, including task prioritization, timeline management, and resource allocation.
- Utilizes a variety of software, authoring tools, and LMS systems, including Microsoft Office 365, YouTube, Social Learning platforms, Articulate Storyline, and Rise, to create and manage educational content.
- Adheres to brand, design, and communication standards and processes, ensuring consistency and quality across all educational materials and deliverables.
Travel
- Requires some travel to regional offices to support the department’s training efforts.
