Position Title: Senior Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer

Objective:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator/Systems Engineer to support our senior staff in managing and improving technology systems. The successful candidate will be a technical lead for a project focused on migrating data from HCA to Santa Clara County compute and storage resources. This position involves hands-on work with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, and advanced storage solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engineering/System Administration for Active Directory and VMware.
• Provide expertise in hardware solutions, including Storage Area Networks (SAN), Dell PowerScale, and Dell VXRail.
• Lead project teams and collaborate with senior infrastructure engineers and system administrators.
• Support virtual server infrastructures running on VXRail, Lenovo, and Azure-based VMs.

Required Skills & Abilities:

• Strong background in Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory.
• In-depth knowledge of VMware and virtualization technologies.
• Proficiency in hardware solutions, including SAN, Dell PowerScale, and VXRail.
• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills to manage team and cross-functional engagements.

Certifications & Educational Requirements:

• Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA) or equivalent certification is required.

Contract Term: 4-6 months

On-Site Requirements: Some on-site work may be required to deploy new hardware and prepare for data migrations.
