Key Skills/Experience:
- NIST Cybersecurity Framework
- Vulnerability and risk management
- DIFR – Digital forensics and Incident response
- EDR
- Defender for O365 cloud/Identity
- DLP
- IAM – Identity access management in Active Directory and Entra (Azure) ID
- Qualys
- CrowdStrike
- Industry level certifications (Security+, CISSP) will be a plus
- Large environment experience (not required, but a big plus)
Job Summary:
As an IT Security Specialist, you will provide direct support to business and IT staff on security-related issues. Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing security measures for data, systems, networks, and web applications. You will monitor security compliance, prepare status reports, and respond to breaches. Additionally, you will assist in the development and implementation of security policies and procedures, administer security controls, perform threat hunting and vulnerability scans, and educate IT and business teams on security policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures
- Administer and monitor security profiles and controls
- Perform threat hunting and vulnerability scans
- Educate IT and business teams on security policies
- Assist in the creation of cybersecurity standards and policies
- Respond to audit requests and gather evidence for presentation and remediation
- Represent the security needs of the company in IT projects
- Provide reports to management on the impact of security incidents
- Evaluate products and procedures to enhance productivity and effectiveness
