JOB SUMMARY
This job is responsible for performing information governance, risk, and compliance activities associated with the enterprise-wide records management function. Such activities include, but are not limited to, digital (electronic) and physical records storage management, retrieval, protection, preservation and disposal of company records for a highly matrixed organization. This includes the development and execution of procedures associated with maintaining and improving existing information governance activities including, but not limited to, enterprise policies, retention schedule maintenance, processes, institutionalization of standard practices, training programs, prioritization and execution of activities, testing, contracting, and vendor management. It is accomplished by proactively working with all departments and parties through a collaborative, cooperative, customer focused approach, to ensure accountability for procedures/operations that are in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, industry best practice.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Maintain the corporate records retention schedule and related record and information management (RIM) policy, procedures, and programs to ensure best practices across the enterprise which are compliant with data protection laws, regulatory, and contractual obligations and requirements.
+ Lead and oversee activities associated with timely formal records destruction, including review and management of orphaned files. Coordinate document archival and retrieval systems and processes for off-site document storage. Prepare monthly reports on usage, including financials, destruction schedule,outstanding recalled documents, and assist with developing on and off-site retention optimization strategies.
+ Manage relationships with off-site document vendors and support contract negotiations.
+ Effectively communicate progress, methodology, and decisioning options to business leaders. Collaborate with various areas including, legal, regulatory, technology, finance, facilities, and medical records.
+ Actively seek opportunities for continuous process, technology, and reporting improvement.

EXPERIENCE
Required
+ 5 years of experience in Information Governance
Preferred
+ 5 years of experience in Healthcare Industry
SKILLS
+ Demonstrated knowledge of information governance policy and procedures
+ Knowledge of business processes, particularly as applied to healthcare (payer and provider)
+ Knowledge of how to leverage technologies to drive an efficient and effective best practice program
+ Strong resource and project planning capabilities, decision making skills, history of results-oriented delivery, across a global and diverse team
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences (senior management, board, peer, and team)
+ Strong relationship building skills and the ability to influence with and without authority in a matrixed organization
+ Leadership qualities with an ability to motivate and inspire a group of individuals to achieve superior results
EDUCATION
Required
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration/Management, or related field or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor's degree.

Pay Range Minimum:
$57,700.00
Pay Range Maximum:

_Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets._
