Senior Information Architect 24-03188 - Akraya, Inc.

We are looking for a Senior Information Architect to redefine the user experience of client, making it more intuitive and user-friendly while mentoring junior staff and driving the strategic direction of our projects. This role involves close collaboration with UX Designers, Developers, and other stakeholders to ensure our information systems align with business objectives. Candidates should bring a passion for creating impactful e-commerce or transactional experiences, as evidenced by a strong portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and maintenance of information architecture for Autodesk website.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to inform architecture decisions.
• Work with content strategists to ensure logical organization and accessibility of content.
• Design intuitive navigation systems, sitemaps, and taxonomies.
• Mentor UX and Content Designers, fostering continuous improvement.

Must-Have Skills:

• Proficiency in wireframing and prototyping tools (e.g., Sketch, Axure, Balsamiq).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to articulate design concepts.

Industry Experience Required:

• Experience with information design for enterprise software, SaaS, or cloud-based services is highly desired.

This role is fully remote, with a preference for candidates who can work West Coast hours. Candidates must demonstrate experience in information architecture creation and design transformation that leads to improved customer behavior. A background in Information Science or User Experience Design is preferred, though practical experience is prioritized.
