Position Overview: As an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technician, you’ll be the go-to expert for testing and troubleshooting machines and equipment, ensuring everything runs smoothly during production. Your quick response to issues will be crucial, and your unwavering focus on quality and safety will set you apart. You’ll not only follow safety protocols but actively contribute to fostering a safe and efficient work environment while continuously seeking ways to improve our operations.
What You’ll Do:
- Troubleshoot Like a Pro: Dive into electro-mechanical troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and repairs to keep our equipment and facilities in top shape.
- Preventative Maintenance Guru: Conduct regular preventative maintenance, startups, and installations based on machine manuals.
- Safety Champion: Uphold a safe working environment by adhering to all safety and environmental policies, especially when working with high voltage and arc flash potential energy sources.
- Diagnostic Detective: Visually inspect and listen to machines to identify and diagnose malfunctions.
- Blueprint Interpreter: Read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics to repair mechanical components, including shafts, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors, drives, and 3-phase power systems.
- Fluid Power Specialist: Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and fluid power systems at an intermediate level.
- Team Player: Engage with colleagues, actively listening and asking questions to ensure clear understanding and collaboration.
Daily Physical Demands:
- Embrace an active workday with prolonged periods of standing and walking.
- Climb ladders, stairs, ramps, and scaffolds; bend or crawl into tight spaces.
- Utilize your strength with the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Navigate various job site conditions, including wet or uneven surfaces.
- Wear job-specific PPE as required.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED with 2-8 years of hands-on experience in manufacturing or maintenance.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and timeliness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to connect with all levels of the organization.
