We are seeking a full-time Senior Mechanical Engineer in Dallas Texas 75254
About the Role:
We are currently seeking an experienced senior mechanical engineer who will be responsible for designing HVAC and Plumbing systems for health care buildings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- This role is expected to work independently with limited supervision.
- Manage mechanical project and oversee design staff.
- Perform QA/QC for projects.
- Develop project Specifications.
- Evaluate various HVAC/Plumbing design options including air distribution, hydronic, plumbing, and medical gas systems.
- Selection and scheduling of major HVAC and plumbing equipment
- Coordinate mechanical and plumbing design with other disciplines.
- Perform and provide guidance to mechanical designers and assist with system design layout and sizing.
- Review drawings for accuracy, neatness, and efficiency using industry standards.
- Attend project meetings with clients, trade partners, consultants, and internal team members.
- Communicate with team members, project managers, other disciplines, and outside vendors to obtain necessary information for completion of design.
- Assist in data collection and/or field verification.
- Construction administration including construction site visits to monitor the progress and quality of the installed mechanical systems.
- Ensure that company standards are maintained on all deliverables.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical/HVAC or Architectural Engineering
- 6-15+ years’ experience designing HVAC/Plumbing systems for buildings
- Working knowledge of building and energy codes
- Working knowledge of current Autodesk software including Revit and AutoCAD
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn
- Strong personal ambition and work ethic
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Desire to grow professionally in a small company environment and support the continued growth of our firm by providing excellent work
Compensation: $95,000 - $150,000
