SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
We are seeking an experienced Senior HR Manager with a proven track record in Human Resources management. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of HR compliance, employee relations, policies and procedures, and the ability to manage and mentor a team. This role requires someone who is hands-on in implementing HR strategies, driving organizational development, and enhancing employee engagement while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. The Senior HR Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing HR initiatives from start to finish.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
HR Strategy & Leadership:
- Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's business objectives and enhance overall organizational performance.
- Lead the HR team in the design and implementation of policies and procedures that promote a positive work environment and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Act as a strategic partner to senior leadership, advising on HR-related matters such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, and organizational development.
Employee Relations & Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive work culture by proactively managing employee relations issues and facilitating resolution through effective communication and conflict management techniques.
- Lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, retention, and satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
Compliance & Legal Requirements:
- Ensure all HR practices are in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, FLSA).
- Oversee audits and manage any compliance-related reporting or documentation.
- Stay current on relevant HR trends, laws, and best practices, and implement necessary changes to policies and procedures.
Policy & Procedure Development:
- Lead the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
- Ensure policies are effectively communicated to all employees and are consistently applied across the organization.
Team Management & Development:
- Manage, mentor, and develop HR team members to ensure high performance and continued professional growth.
- Foster a collaborative, results-driven HR team environment, promoting accountability, skill development, and career advancement.
Talent Management & Recruitment:
- Oversee the recruitment process, from job posting to onboarding, ensuring the attraction of top talent.
- Provide guidance to hiring managers on best practices in interviewing, selection, and retention strategies.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify staffing needs and create talent pipelines.
Reporting & Analysis:
- Provide regular HR reporting to senior leadership, offering insights on key metrics such as turnover, engagement, and compliance.
- Use data-driven insights to make informed decisions that drive improvements in HR processes and employee satisfaction.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- 3-5 years of managerial experience in HR, with a proven record of success in strategic HR management and leading teams.
- Extensive experience in HR operations, compliance, employee relations, and policy development.
- Experience managing HR processes from start to finish, including recruitment, performance management, and organizational development.
- Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or similar HR certification preferred.
- Additional certifications in HR-related areas (e.g., compensation, employee development) a plus.
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically while also being hands-on in day-to-day HR operations.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing HR policies, programs, and practices.
- Ability to manage and develop HR teams and work collaboratively across departments.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
