We have a non-profit company in San Francisco seeking an HR Business Partner on a Contract To Hire basis!
This is a newly created role that will support a smaller acquired division.
This role would not have any direct reports but would be supporting all the tactical pieces of HR along with supporting the HR Director on project work.
Advanced experience in Employee Relations and Changed management is required! Ideal candidate has supported an acquisition.
Pay is up to $50/hr
(Nortia Staffing offers medical, dental, sick time, 401K and holiday pay to all temporary employees)
This position is located in San Francisco proper and NOT near a Bart Line. Public transit within the city is available or you can drive and park.
Duties and Responsibilities will include
- Employee relations and investigations
- Seek approval for Requisition Form, prepare & place employment online subsequent to copy approval for Hiring Manager
- Ensure communication of all relevant information to all management staff, post open, approved positions internally including company email announcements & update job boards
- Coordinate the benefits open enrollment process (includes communication and Open Enrollment meeting scheduling, working closely with the third-party vendors)
- Manage the new hire orientation process to ensure candidates have a successful on-boarding experience
- Partner with cross-functional managers to ensure new employees have the necessary training from various departments such as Facilities, Technical Support and Accounting to set them up for success
- Oversee Workers’ Compensation cases and claims as needed, including direct contact with attorneys, physicians & insurance carriers.
- Partner with managers to evaluate telecommuting arrangements, creating agreements in line with company policy & work with managers on communication to employees
- Conduct exit interviews
- Act as first point of contact for EDD
- Exhibits strong user ability in both Word and Excel
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field
- PHR/SPHR Certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Excellent interpersonal skills: warmth, sensitivity to others, customer service focus in person & on the phone
