We are recruiting for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide day-to-day HR support to Managers and employees in key HR processes such as recruitment, new employee onboarding, payroll, benefits, employee relations and employee recognition programs. Specific responsibilities include:
Recruitment:
- Develops and implements recruitment strategies to identify qualified candidates by utilizing various sourcing techniques that identify and attract high caliber candidates.
- Builds and maintains a pipeline of qualified candidates through networking, job boards, social media, employee referrals, and other appropriate methods.
- Partners with hiring Managers to identify needs, job specifications, and qualifications necessary for open positions. Maintains strong relationships with Hiring managers to ensure a successful hiring partnership, keeps lines of communication open and reports on the status of the interview and selection process.
- Develops and posts job advertisements. Screens resumes and conduct phone interview resulting in a shortlist of potential candidates that fit the position identified, including skills, education, and experience and also competency and alignment with Company culture.
- Presents qualified candidates to hiring Managers to include providing detailed candidate profiles and coordinates the scheduling of in person interviews.
New Employee Onboarding
- Coordinates the development of formal new employee training programs with hiring Managers. Schedules the various training sessions with all attendees for each new hire.
- Distributes additional required new hire documents (forms, policies, handbook, etc.) to new employees. Tracks completion and return of documents and reviews all returned documents to ensure completed accurately.
- Supports hiring Managers through the probationary period of new hires by prompting the completion of progress reviews and support follow-up on any actions arising.
Payroll and Benefits:
- Prepares, reviews and executes bi-weekly hourly and salaried payrolls to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, adjustments, overtime, leave use, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
- Processes pay corrections, research issues and responds to payroll related questions from employees.
- Provides benefit plan communication materials and conducts benefit enrollment meetings for all new hires. Communicates basic plan details, responds to employee questions and processes enrollments.
Human Resources Generalist:
- Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation to employees and line Managers in assigned business area.
- Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line Management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
- Monitors and reports on employee attendance and absenteeism issues in assigned business area.
- Participates in the implementation of strategic Human Resources plans, systems and best practice policies and procedures.
- Responds to employee complaints in collaboration with line Management, conducts internal investigations as needed, provides outcome and resolution plan to address issues.
- Assists in coordination of all employee recognition programs (service awards, birthdays and incentive awards).
- Assists in the planning, scheduling and communication of various monthly, quarterly and annual employee and Company events.
- Position is on site, Monday through Friday, at the corporate office in Richardson, TX. Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business or related discipline or equivalent required. Minimum of four to six years of progressive experience in a professional Human Resources role to include at least two years of successful high volume recruiting experience required. Prior payroll experience preferred.
- Thorough understanding of human resources principles and practices, including employment laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to handle extremely sensitive or difficult situations / individuals effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, required. Ability to relate and build rapport with internal staff and external candidates and organizations required.
- Strong time management, organization and problem-solving skills required. Ability to work independently with shifting priorities is a must.
- Ability to multi-task along with demonstrated initiative and focus on delivering high quality results leading to improvements in current business operations.
- Intermediate level computer skills to include HRIS, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and Outlook required.
- Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work in the US, no visa sponsorship.
Compensation and Benefits Provided:
- Competitive salary up to $80,000 salary per year depending on experience.
